Farm and Ranch Living Magazine
Farm and Ranch Living Magazine has published a really nice 6 page article about us this month. This magazine has 300,000 paid subscribers, and is a 30 year old bi-monthly publication about farm life, tractors, antiques and the like. They asked us to do a diary for the month of June 2009, and Meryl did a great job keeping it. We have had people from all over the country respond and even ask how Tweety is. Chamomile If you have been here in the Spring and walked under the oak by the sifter, you have walked on our Chamomile.
Known for its calming influence and has been used as a remedy for centuries for digestive ailments.Well we decided to package the chamomile and make it available and tried it in our store - People LIKED it. So we have put it in our online store now. An ounce of this great herb is 1 1/2 measuring cups and is $5. Click for our online store.

First Color
Sometimes anticipation is almost as good as what is being anticipated. This shot was just taken this morning. The whole field is waking up and you can really feel that it is alive and about to become something really spectacular.
This stem is one of th early ones. We haven't had any real warm weather yet
but we have had lots of nice rain this year, and the lavender is liking it. We think its going to be a great crop! In 2-3 weeks it will be lots more blue.
For those who just can't wait - we have Lavendula Heterophylla blooming right now. Long stems and very fragrant. Fresh Bunches are $5.

Kitty the Horse
Lots of people want to visit with the horses and chickens. One little one said to his mom "I'm tired of the lavender farm - I want to go to the chicken farm and see those horses over there".
So here is for all you big kids - here is a video of Kitty using the hose as a water fountain
