Lupins

Lupins

They may not be lavender, but they are purple! Its that time of year again, and the Lupins are out and the days are getting warmer. Many of the hills along Highway 154 look like they have had blue paint spilled on them.
Of course the Lavender is starting to wake up and we have some blooming around the statue. Check out our blog for lots more photos

Down the Hill

Meryl has always wanted shots of these two trees down the hill. Here they are in al their Spring color. Its going to be a great Spring for wildflowers and we think that the lavender is going to like the rain this year as well. We are transplanting some of the plants into the upper field. Mature fields, like ours, develop some areas where the lavender needs to be replenished

Lupin and Poppy

We were going to put one of the chickens with Easter eggs here, but this shot says it all about springtime in California.
